By definition, in vitro tests occur outside a living organism—for instance in a test tube or a culture dish.
Our in vitro tests use ethically-sourced human cells instead of animal cells and vegetable serum instead of bovine serum, making the whole process completely cruelty free.
Microorganisms commonly found in cosmetics
Contamination sources of microorganisms in cosmetics
Primary pollution: refers to the pollution caused in the cosmetic manufacturing process
Secondary pollution: refers to the pollution that occurs during use or storage of cosmetics after they are unsealed, including microorganisms brought in after hands contact with cosmetics, and microorganisms in the air that fall into and become contaminated.
How to avoid secondary pollution?
1. When using, avoid touching cosmetics with unclean fingers or tools, and cover them at any time after use;
2. The makeup brush should be cleaned frequently to keep it clean and dry;
3. Try to use containers that are hard to mix with bacteria;
4. Cosmetics should be stored in a clean and dry place as much as possible;
5. The shelf life of cosmetics will be shortened after opening, try to use up in the shortest time.
